Guide to Characterising Tumours on Cytology

The CityU VDL in Hong Kong in collaboration with Alex Teh, 4th year Veterinary student in The University of Sydney, are happy to share this brief guide about cytologic characterization of tumours. Alex has great interest in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and hopes to further specialized in these fields after finishing Veterinary School. The CityU VDL came to know Alex through The University of Sydney’s 2021 DVM Mentoring Program.

This guide includes tips on how to differentiate types of tissue cells, criteria of malignancy, and provides some examples of commonly encountered tumours in dogs and cats.
